"The book was easy to read because the author’s approach in writing was straightforward and very conversational. She also injected a few amusing moments that had me grinning. I cried during the part about Kathleen because I felt the pain and suffering that the author went through; that was really a very difficult situation to deal with. The author went through a hellish experience and I’m glad that despite the time she almost lost her faith, she still chose the right path.
I’m giving this book 4 out of 5 stars. It’s a good memoir and I respect the author’s courage in sharing her extraordinary journey through life, near-death, as well as her encounters with otherworldly beings. I recommend this book to mature readers because of its sensitive topics." ~ Shey S.

Wow, thank you for sharing your life story and NDE experience with such honesty. The book beautifully depicts how the traumatic events in life can leave us scarred. The internalized pain can leave us unconsciously judging ourselves as less than worthy of Love. This book beautifully depicts one woman’s journey through hell and back to Heaven as a journey of forgiveness, healing and then applying all she learned to hurting people in her life. Bravo! "This author is a great storyteller and I found her descriptions of her early life experiences as interesting as her description of what she saw in Hell, which was absolutely riveting. The scenes in Hell were grotesque and terrifying, and she describes what she saw in such vivid detail I felt like as if each scene was playing out in my mind like a movie. What was really interesting to me was seeing the parallels between her life experiences and her visions in Hell. I also found her attitude towards her exceptionally challenging life circumstances to be very inspiring. "First of all- full disclosure. The author is a close friend of mine, so my objectivity may be questionable. I met her shortly after her recovery from ARDS, and she shared with me her NDE at that time. However this book has definitely given me a much deeper insight into the challenges she has faced and the beliefs she holds. I found the book to be very interesting, entertaining, and captivating. I especially liked the style of using many chapter vignettes which kept me anxious to keep reading non-stop. For these reasons I am giving the book five stars. I really don't know how to judge it from a stranger's point of view. Would they find it readable? Believable? Compelling? I can only say I found it thoroughly enjoyable and thought-provoking. ~ CMA
HESITATED TO READ...BUT GLAD I DID!!!
"I had hesitated reading this book when it first arrived, as I really did not want to see what a "glimpse of hell" looked like. But, once I started reading it, I had to read it until the end!!! Well written, humorous, as well as sad and happy. I was fascinated reading about the author, always feeling like the "new kid" in most situations (and some situations quite strange)...then going to hell...then to heaven...to now being an "angel" here on earth. I hope to be able to read about her continuing "angel" experiences. I am sure there will be many!!! ~ Carol M.

This book took me on a journey into, through, and beyond. The cover and subject matter I found intriguing. I not only enjoyed M.K.'s story, but her style of writing. Upon completion, this book took me beyond the written words. I found myself questioning and reflecting on my deep beliefs. A good story and author evoke the "beyond " experiences.
